Our Business and Supply Chain
Tripp imports and retails luggage in the UK and Europe. We are a multi-channel luggage retailer with 200+ sites throughout the UK, Eire and Denmark and employ approximately 350 employees.
The vast majority of the goods we sell are manufactured in the Far East by our key suppliers. Of the 7 factories, 6 are in China and 1 is in Taiwan.
We establish a relationship of trust and integrity with all our suppliers, which is built upon mutually beneficial factors. Our supplier selection includes due diligence of the suppliers reputation, respect for the law and compliance with all regulations.
Policies and Commitment
Tripp is committed to prohibiting modern slavery. In 2014 we introduced the “Business social Compliance Initiative policy”. A summary of the management practices can be found under the “Risk Assessment” heading.
Due Diligence
We review our suppliers every 2 years to ensure that they are up to date with the social accountability/ ethical audit. These audits take place in order to not only ensure acceptable standards are being complied with but also to work toward ongoing improvements. The factories are audited by internationally recognised companies in the field being, SMETA (Sedex Member Ethical Trade Accreditation) and/ or BSCI (Business Social Compliance).
Risk Assessment
